Thor's Work

Bain Capital

Venture Capital
Served via Optemization.
The client needed a portal that startup founders could access documentation, events, and contacts. They wanted to increase their confidence building with Notion, have all the building blocks needed, and have a beautiful and elegant solution.
I built a Notion-powered portal for founders to house documentation, contacts, and events. I built a component-based system that builds upon itself to enrich information effectiveness while keeping the digestibility easy. This is all wrapped up in an aesthetic and functional package.

Going into the project, the customer used Notion but did not feel comfortable with their abilities. After building the system, workshopping on weekly calls, and providing extensive documentation โ€” the client is confident that the portal will not only help the founders access it but also their internal team building within it.
I built the entire system in a component-like structure. Resources โ†’ Docs โ†’ Collections โ†’ Playbooks / Job Kits. This allows for easy content creation that is not only rich but easily absorbed.
I created a simple yet elegant iconography system that matches the clientsโ€™ style guide. The entire workspace was themed to match their brand and I built a backend for managing assets as needed.

Financial Services
  • Karl needed a solution to manage his work and the work of his direct reports in one place.
  • I created a Notion workspace that allowed him to manage both needs without having anyone else in it.

  • The CRM is the backbone of the setup. Accounting for companies, people, and their relation to each other.
  • His work is then broken down into projects and tasks.
  • The notebook brings it all together. Not only for general notes but also for weekly one-to-ones and planning.
  • I also prioritized mobile. I made him an inbox for quick capture for when he is not at his computer. He can simply tap a widget on his phone, launching his inbox, where he can jot down a task, note, or contact with ease.
